Fall Camp Meeting 2016

November 2 – 4, 2016

Fall Camp Meeting 2016

Don't miss this annual favorite of Heartland pastors, leaders and people!

  • Overview

As the Children of Israel gathered together as the people of God three times a year, Fall Camp Meeting is one of our most important times for the Heartland tribe to assemble! As believers we should fill ourselves fresh each day with the Holy Spirit and attend special events with the purpose of getting fresh vision and anointing from the Lord. Fall Camp Meeting will help take individuals and churches to a new level

Our theme this year is "What Do You Expect?"  The world tells us not to expect too much. God says we don't expect enough! What do you say?

Some of the things you will enjoy at Camp Meeting:

    • Early morning prayer
    • Free breakfast and lunch for attendees
    • Traditional Camp Meeting style music
    • Messages and prophetic giftings of Bishop Mike Gray
    • The challenge to go outside the church's four walls by Gary Burd
    • Friday afternoon singspiration — singing around the piano and guitars
    • Fellowship and snack bar (inexpensive prices) following each evening service

Join your larger family. Truly we are better together!

    Gary BurdGary Burd

Gary Burd is a man with a heart of compassion and a desire to help the less fortunate in today's world. The mandate of BALNAM, Be A Light Not A Mouth, drives the heart of service, earning the right to speak in his ministry efforts.

Born to Pentecostal Holiness parents and ministers, Gary became a minister at the age of 16, traveling with a brother and sister team following graduation from high school. He and his wife, Carolyn, served the Christian Heritage Church in Amarillo from November 1973 to January 2014  in various capacities, including being Sr. Pastor from May 1986. In addition to pastoring this church full time, Gary served as Conference Superintendent of the Great Plains Conference from May 1994 to October 2014.

Gary and Carolyn have been married since October 1969 and have three children, Robbie, Sasha and Matt, who have blessed them with eight grandchildren.

Gary and his wife, Carolyn, started riding motorcycles for the Lord in 1999 and logged over 530,000 miles up to December 2015. They ride to church events and speaking engagements and try to ride 50% of the time to service type out reaches. The out reaches have included, homeless, prison, Free Camps, Veterans, Jews, Native Americans and biker events.

Mission:M25 is a ministry of service based upon Matthew 25, 'the overlooked and ignored' as Eugene Peterson summarizes the list.
